Meet Mrs. Pellot aka Mrs. P!
Welcome Lovelies!
My name is Mrs. Pellot, or to some, Mrs. P! I teach English 3 and Critical Instruction in English for the 2023-2024 school year at Deer Park High School- South. Most of the information for my class will be available in Canvas. ALL primary guardians in Skyward are OBSERVERS in Canvas. This means that you can see every assignment for every single one of your child's classes. Regular announcements and anything academic will always be posted for my students in Canvas. Parents are welcome to check their child's Canvas anytime. I will strive to put important reminders on my website here as well.A little about me in case you're interested...I am going into my 12th year of teaching, and I love it more every year. Your children mean everything to me and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. My first two years teaching I taught English 1/English 1 PAP, moved into 4 years of teaching English 3, then I moved to teaching English 2/English 2 PAP, and went back to English 3 for four years now. Last year I also teach CIE. Not to worry, I am familiar with the curriculum and the state standardized tests. My classroom has been 99% paperless for years now, and this year will be the same. They will use their iPads for just about everything, and anything not done on iPads will be submitted and graded through
the iPad.
My teaching style is fairly laid back, but highly motivational. I am easy going, but I believe in every single student I have and what they are capable of achieving. I love creativity and projects and self-expression in student work. I will give my students everything I have and I expect the same from them.
A few of my loves in life are Harry Potter, my dogs, my husband and family, my 4 year old son. I love all things Marvel, I love teaching, I love to read, and I love helping students love reading.
