Welcome

My name is Jon Daughtridge, and I teach English II here at DPHS South Campus. I am a Deer Park graduate (from last century!). I lived and taught English in Japan for 9 years, which was an amazing experience. Living in another country, another culture, was a mind-opening experience that taught me a lot about both Japanese culture and my own. I encourage anyone, especially young people, to consider adding experience in another culture to their background. It builds understanding and appreciation of the wide and diverse world we live in.
