Marla Welch, CTIS

I have been in DPISD for 25 years; I love this place! I have held various positions, including Language Arts Teacher, Athletic Coach, and Campus Technology Integration Specialist. I have been the CTIS at DPHS South Campus since 2018 when we first rolled out iPads with students. 

 

I have an Associate of Art in General Studies from San Jacinto College, and a Bachelor of Art in Literature and Master of Science in Instructional Technology from the University of Houston Clear Lake. I have also taught at the University of Houston Clear Lake for over twenty years. Go Hawks!

 

I am certified to teach Language Arts, Speech, Journalism, English as a Second Language, and Technology Applications.

 

My passion is helping students and teachers integrate technology into the current curriculum. I also help manage our one-to-one Apple devices school-wide and help coach our robotics teams. I am a member of the Texas Computer Education Association, a certified Apple Teacher, Apple Learning Coach, Microsoft Certified Educator, Microsoft Innovative Educator (2018-2020), and am part of the iCivics Educator's Network.
