A little bit about Mr. Fahnders

Hello!  My name is Ben Fahnders, and I am thrilled to be joining the Choir team here in Deer Park!
 
I grew up in Humble, TX and attended Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers) where I graduated with a Bachelor's in Music Education.  From there I taught...
  • 2 1/2 years in Central, Louisiana @ Central High School
  • 6 years @ Humble High School (Humble ISD)
  • 10 years @ Kingwood Park High School (Humble ISD)
  • 1 year @ Deer Park HS (South Campus)
Add it all together, and you get 19 years of experience and many treasured memories of student success.  Excited to start year 20 in Deer Park!
 
In addition to Choir, I've also taught Music Theory AP, IB Music & Music Theory, Fine Arts Appreciation, and been a sponsor for the National Honor Society.  I am a member of the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA), Texas Music Adjudicators Association (TMAA), Texas Choral Directors Association (TCDA), and an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Texas PTA.
